Hi All,

Just looking at the Coopers IPA for my next brew, i've formulated a plan to use 500g of Light Spray Malt and 500g Hopped Light Spray Malt (Also i'm guessing Spray Malt is DME in normal brewing terminology).

Does this sound ok?

I found some info that said if i use DME as the whole fermentables i would need to use a more robust yeast than the one found in the kit - again does this sound about right and if so would it be helped on it's way by adding the kit yeast as well?

Sorry for all the questions

Thanks in Advance

Chris

Sounds good to me.

You do not need to change the yeast supplied if using 100% DME/spraymalt. The supplied yeast works fine :thumb:

I am getting to the end of my keg of this and will be very sorry to see it go :(

Made as per kit instructions with 500g light spray malt and 300 dextros. the SG 1036. I was concerened at the time that it was a bit low but fermented ou to 1008 and tastes lovely.

So with a slight increase in feremnatables i am sure it will be great.
