Hi All,

I have recently started my first ever homebrew which is Coopers Mexican Cerveza.

Its OG was 1.042 and after 7 days it has gone down to 1.011.

The FG is meant to be 1.006. I have given it a stir and am hoping this will drop to the prescribed FG.

If this doesn'y happen, is it still ok to bottle it at 1.011.

Cheers

So long as you're sure it's stopped fermenting (same hydrometer reading over three days) then it'll be fine to bottle.

Giving a gently stir, as you've done, may rouse the yeast enough to drop a few more gravity points.

JV's right :thumb:

In my experience I never had a kit brew that made it down to the instructions final gravity :)
