What are your opinions on these bottles for use with beer? Will they accept standard 28mm PET bottle caps? Does your beer oxygenate quicker in these bottles vs. glass? Can you successfully store homebrew in them for up to 6 months?

Six months will be fine. The Coopers bottles are specially designed for beer and have a double layer of PET to prevent oxidation. And as mentioned above, the screw caps supplied are fine and can be used many times over.

Coopers bottles are much better than other brown plastic bottles I've used. Worth paying a little extra for the Coopers ones.

You say that, but I've used the Young's bottles which take a 26 mm crown cap. No issues at all, in fact They're great for postage as little weight and no danger of exploding. They're reusable, too, although I haven't used them that many times to see how resilient they are.

Is there a link you can provide for these bottles?

I used Cooper pet bottles for a few years and are good bottles, the only concern I had with them was they misted up in between the layers and looked unsightly, I was told it's when I washed them out that the water was too hot. +1 on them lasting long term as long as carbonation is OK.

Make sure u extra tighten the lids I used them on my first ever brew and they failed to carb apart from 1 or 2 I swapped to glass and a capper and haven't looked back since I reckon I didn't tighten them enough I used one on another brew just to see and they were fine

The lids were redesigned about a year ago, a better outside grip and an internal silicone piece in the lids mean that they now seal properly without getting the pliers out.

I use them and they work well.

I usually have a time getting the caps OFF. Used pliers on one once.

You'll like them.

All the Best,

Been using them for a couple of years and i thought they were great.. although i was too lazy too wash them out for re-use so cant comment on the longevity.
Never had a problem with longterm storage tho and a +1 for tightening again a couple days after first screw
