It is now a little over 4 and half weeks since I started my first brew in over 30 years. Coopers English Bitter 500g of light spray malt and 500g of brewing sugar. I have been so pleased with it, in fact too pleased, yes it is getting better each day but have probably only got another 4 or 5 pints in the barrel, not helped by my brother in laws more frequent visits since it has been drinkable.
Money is very tight at moment and I have got another Can of Cooper EB being delivered to the local Tesco Express on Monday for £9.77. The question is how bad will it be made only with brewing sugar? Has anyone tried? I know I sound tight but by the time I travel to nearest Wilkinsons to get some some Malt it's going to cost another tenner.

It will not be as good but it will be drinkable.
Wait till you have collected all the ingredients before you brew, better to make the best you can than suffer an inferior beer.

Id buy in bulk, maybe get your mates to brew aswell or help you out for a share of the beer and split the cost, you can get spraymalt pretty cheap from the forum sponsors in bulk, you can also get a coopers kit with brew enhancer or spraymalt in some cases for around 15 quid and if you spent 70 quid postage is free
