I am looking at puting together my first AG system. I have an old Keg and an Igloo cold water thermos. I have researched where to get the other brewery items such as sparge arm, pump etc, but was wondering where the best place to purchase good quality pipework and connectors. I may upgrade to tri clamps later but still want quality connectors in the meantime.

Is there a website anyone can recommend for these items?  :drink:

I will post the progress when I get started...

Sound advice from Aleman (as usual) However, a bit of advice from one who found out at to his costly expense  If you go for the SS Hosetails..You will find that you are forever screwing and unscrewing them!!! I got that fed up that I went for Camlocks.. Whilst thay are the more expensive option..they are well worth it :thumb:

However, if you do decide that SS Hosetails are for you..then send me a PM as I have quite a lot surplus  which you can have for a fraction of the cost that I paid

HWM . . . You screw the hose tail into the Cone Seat Female part. the male part connects to the ball valve . . . undo the cone seat nut (which just need to be hand tight) and instant (more or less) disconnect. . . . I'm still debating Camlock or Cone Seat at the moment . . . I like the convenience of Camlock but the Cone seat stuff has a bigger bore . .. but with the added cost of the hose tails :hmm:

Thanks for the update Aleman re screwing the Hose tails into the Cone Seat Female Parts.....I'm sure others on here will have benefitted from this information.... ;) Its just a pity I did'nt... before I bought the Camlocks ..

Loads of us use THBF tubing, it's great stuff and I'm not blowing our own trumpet....I got mine from Morebeer :D
Talking of which, connectors, these are a great option, I've been using them for around 2 years....poor mans relation to the camlock...which I must have
