Last summer i brought a fastferment conical fermentor. It has been a total game changer for me. If you dont have one you must get one! It hasnt been used for beer once! Its made my white wine from ok cloudy to crystal. I really cant fault the equipment. Its litterally that good. If i was to make a mod recomendation.i would make the seal on it better. As now when putting the lid on it feels like its cross thread and can pop off. It can also be difficult to judge the clarity of the product. It can be awkward to move when full. It did irritate me it dosnt come with the stand its an extra. Can not be pressured. But the above are little niggles that are me being super picky they really wouldnt stop me buying another one. Good points though very easy to clean and disasemble. Parts are avilable readily and cheap. It is well made and robust.
So on the back of this i have brought a fermetasauraus complete with pressure kit. The inital reason i brought is because its clear and see through. Because you can brew under pressure. Now i havent tried this before but can really see the benefits of using the waste co2 to carbinate. No brainer really? And once complete you can leave it in it and serve . Very cool i hope. It has a lot more exposed body above the stand so im building a temp mat set up for it. My first brew with it will be next weekend i will continue then.

I have made many gallons of wine and have never had a problem with clarity i use Quick Clear finings and they are always crystal clear after 48 hours, that is one expensive wine clearing vessel.

So a quick update. I have the toy loaded. After a few teething issues i got it sorted and filled. So far it seems to be doing a good job. Lost all of its gas today as i left the spunding valve on it. I sealed that up last night i thought properley. And i regreased the corny post. The only problems ive has so far are: the valve at the bottom dosnt seal water tight. It lets by. The pull pin for emergency release is toilet and needs looking at. Ill probably fit an m14 bolt in all honesty and block it out. And the conical blocks up quite easily. All the above are probably just idiot new user things but enough to irritate me . Oh and you cant get your arm in it. After a few brews im sure ill have figured it. Ill be back soon......
