Is it possible to make a decent beer using the electrim boiler/mashtun,, by firstly mashing the grain then sparging to another container then returning to the electrim to boil??????????????????? :?

I started my ag brewing using 1 30ltr fv with a element in i made a mash tun out of an old fv insulated all i did was heat water to strike temp then added water to grain bill then topped up fv /boiler used as sparge water using spinny sparge run off wort into cleab fv then transferred back to the boiler to use for final boil did 3 brews this way worked fine

Thanks for that what a relief i was concerned id wasted a load of cash. Sometimes gets a bit technical on here a bit cofusing when your a beginner

its dead simple really ive only been ag brewing for 6 months and really overcomplicated it in my head but if you break it doen into sections you'll soon get the jist any probs always ask no matter how daft you think the question is someone will always point you in the right direction

Must admit to being a bit cautious before I did my first AG brew and I checked and better checked, read and re read everything, but once I started to go through the process everything made sense and I found it quite straightforward and not as 'technical' or difficult as I'd thought :thumb:

I was the same on my first brew, I couldn't get my head round sparging :wha: :wha: . I read the how to guide on this site. I have a copy of it printed out when I brew and find it helpful so as not to miss anything out. If you read all my posts of my brewdays they are a catalogue of what seemed at the time disasters but so far they all turned out ok in fact the turned out GREAT.

Just go for it you will be fine, and if you need any help during brewday just post a question and someone will sort you out.
