Yeasty From what had collected in the racking tube :whistle: I was just going to clear the racking tube prior to casking . . . . honest . . . and it took a pint to clear it :whistle: . . . . It's a sin to the brewing gods to pour away beer samples . . . isn't it?.

Unfortunately the yeasty sample is now having it's traditional effect

I know of another brother who used to fall by the same wayside, he has now fortunatly seen the light and signed the pledge.
Should I put you in touch with him?

I regularly sup from the gravity samples and discard the rest. I think it's an important QC check . I think I could estimate the gravity +/- 0.003 based on the taste

Oh the gravity was 1.011 . . . not that it went near a hydrometer

I think one should brew again and see if one is tempted again :whistle: :whistle: It may be just a one off.
