Hi brewers

I have just bottled 75 pints of lager which are sitting in my spare room at a temperature between 18- 21 degrees in a weeks time they will be transferred to the shed but at the moment the shed is the same temperature my question is can I put the bottles in a plastic waterproof container and top it up with cold water to keep the temp down

Cheers for any help

Before I got a fermenting fridge I used to put the FV in a water tub and kept the water cool by adding freezer blocks changing them twice a day. Worked OK.
