I must say im loving my new hobby

By "conditioning" are you referring to aging the beer after primary fermentation for clarity, more complex flavors, mellow out, or are you referring to bottle conditioning? I suspect it's the latter. Once the beer has carbonated (2-3 weeks at 65*) then its good to go in the fridge. I condition my beers in a brite tank, and once they are kegged, they get tagged and placed in the freezer at 40* until they are moved to the kegerator.
