Concentrated wort beer kits?

I have just found this on my LHBS website:

http://www.leylandhomebrew.com/cat232_1.htm

Basically it's 7.5l of concentrated wort, which can be diluted to 23l and fermented as usual for the best part of £30

I have been brewing using the 2 can malt extract kits for a year now and had some good results (although quite a few stuck fermentations) and wondered if anyone had any experience with this 'concentrated wort' type of kit?

I have toyed with the idea of going all grain but just haven't got the time to devote to it at the moment and thought this might be an easy way to get better results with no extra effort (lazy - I know!)

I don't see the difference between this and a two can kit to be honest as the kits are hopped concentrated wort anyway.

Apart from the price increase as to my knowledge all two can kits are well under £30.

Maybe I'm missing something?

As Green Ninja said it sounds pretty expensive to me, personally i think you'd be better off doing a 2 can kit and saving £8 or so depending which one you choose

Saw the same thing in local shop. Couldn't really understand it myself.

Maybe someone here will try one and report back....

I was seriously thinking of setting up something like this (but using less concentrated wort)

Rather than the mass produced beer kits you actually get a, hopefully, high quality brewery wort, and all you need to add is water and yeast to get a true to type beer.

I may very well try one and report back,

Makes more sense when described like that! Nice one :thumb:

If I needed some beer making but didnt have 6 hours to spend brewing it I would be tempted at that price. I still do kits occasionally to keep the beer flowing and I am usually disappointed with them. Considerably cheaper than the corner shop and better quality than kits?!
