concentrate or pure

I don't think it matters - just get what ever is at the best price. What you must try and avoid is juice drinks/added sweetners. As long as it's 100% juice or concentrate you'll be fine.

It's not concentrate, the carton grape juices you can buy will either be pure pressed or "from concentrate". Either will work and there will be very little difference.

Grape Juice Concentrate or "wine enhancer" is an entirely different thing, available from homebrew shops or online suppliers, pressed from mostly wine grapes, and in my opinion a ridiculous price for a silly little can. Where recipes call for GJC I usually use raisins.

...another great tip ta :thumb: :thumb:

I use 100% fresh pressed white or red grape juice with the most sugar content of Italian origin, these are a bit more expensive but in my experience they give a far better end product.

I recently used Blueberry Juice Drink with Red grape juice. It's fermenting like mad, but as I have used juice drink rather than the proper stuff, what affect will it have?

Slight reduction in flavour? Any noticeable difference?

I would normally steer away from juice drink, however I saw thsi oen in reduced to clear so snapped it up, only to realsie later my mistake.

Yeah it will be a watered down version of what you would get if you used full juice, light but not very fruity.

You won't find pure blueberry juice, or if you could it would be very expensive and way too strong. Likewise with cranberry, the best you're going to find is probably 25% juice and 75% water, this is quite sufficient.

Berry juice drinks are fine, avoid grape juice drinks.
