ok made my mind up ,the dark side has won, will start gathering every thing and anything i can beg ,borrow or bag hmm, for the cause ,thinking of using gas as the main source of brewing out in the brewery /shed once gut out all her gardening tools ect new roof insulation and water supplies, may take several months to complete but ,got to start somewhere, any suggestions for a decent lager recipe , idiot proof would suit me, Oh Lord for what iam about to do, make everybody thankfull, regards sandy

Hi S115. There's a few people on here will be able to advise on lager recipes but I think they are a little more complex than bitters or pale ales. If you're going AG for the first time best to start with a straight forward ale recipe and learn a few of the techniques before trying the more complicated stuff.

Best of luck with your brew shed. They'll expect pictures :)

ok i will take on board all advice given sad thing is i like lager never drank bitter or ales used to drink export or heavy in my younger years but ales and bitters are not found in our pubs up here 18 miles north of glasgow still you never know regards sandy
