Coffee wine

evening all
ive just been given a winemaking book. And in it is a recipe for a dry coffee wine.

instant coffee (NESCAFE) - 15g
Sugar - 1 kilo
Citric acid - 15g
Water to - 4.5 litres
Ammonium phosphate - 1 teaspoon

As anyone tried this?
Where can i get Ammonium phosphate from?

Ammonium phosphate is yeast nutrient.....available from home brew shops

That's a CJJB recipe from "First Steps".

I tried it once, many many years ago.


I seem to remember it was absolutely ***kin' awful :sick:

your right moley it is from that book, another item from freecycle.

Think ill give it a miss then mate. And carry on reading.

Not at all Wez, there are some excellent recipes in there, but you've got to be selective.

Also, ignore his sugar quantities.

Maybe winemaking is more forgiving than brewing.....but i'd have to say typhoo or Yorkshire!
