Could anyone tell me if these:
http://www.homebrew4u.co.uk/homebrew-equipment/co2-injector-system.asp
are designed mainly to assist in dispensing beer from a keg or if they can actually "force carbonate" as well? I'd like to use my Young's budget keg but I never get carbonated beer when I use it. Finally, would I use priming solution and force carbonate or just rely on the CO2 injector to do the job for me? If it helps, I'm hoping to put a bitter into the keg, so it wouldn't really need lager-style levels of CO2, just aiming for a real ale type result.

Thanks in advance!

No mate there just for pushing the beer out and stopping oxygen getting in.

Best way to carbonate is the use the recommended amount of sugar to prime then keep it somewhere warm 18-21c, for 10 days, then let it condition in the cool for three- four weeks

If you want to carbonate a keg your better off with one of these.

Also note that the kegs are only rated at SUB 10psi, so force carbonating may split them, better using a corny if you want to try this, and not end up with 40 pints of beer all over the floor

Both of those are good suggestions! I'm not nearly ready to make the jump to cornies yet since I haven't even done an extract brew yet (still looking for a big enough stockpot). For future reference though, the canister at the top; it's a Hambleton Bard what? *EDIT: Cancel that, I just found it on the Hambleton Bard website. Go go Google! :D

Thanks!
