Hi there,

I'm planning on storing my two cornys in the fridge.

Is it ok to keep the co2 canister in the fridge? The fridge will be around 5'c..

Nick

you can but you'll loose alot of capacity as the gas will shrink and get denser so you will use it up alot faster.
I have looked at this and put a 9 psi keg into the fridge once down to temp there was enough gas to get one pint out!
It was a nice cold pint mind you :drink:

There is no problem with keeping a co2 cylinder in the fridge. . . . You will loose some pressure in the gas space above the liquid CO2 . .. but you should still bet at something like 500psi (at 5C) rather than 800psi at 20C . . . . of course your primary reg will still work so setting the secondary to 5psi (at 5C) will give you about 1 Volume of CO2 in the beer . . . . and you will still use the same amount of gas ;) its a PV=nRT (the Pervert or Ideal gas equation ;)) kind of thing

for fizzy lager you need to double the figure of 5psi so 10-12 is correct
