cider kit

hi.
brewed beer kits long time ago seen a youngs wine kit 6 bottles ? give that a go friends and myself well pleased did 30 bottle kit same result.
but wine whilst was good but i am a beer and cider man have done a few kits all bottles am now trying kegs bought a muntons cider kit makes 30 pints instructions say prime barrel with 3 oz of sugar per 5 uk gallon barrel.
my question is do i use 3 oz sugar with 30 pints.
would appreciate any help jocky

3 oz doesn't sound excessive.

You can always crack open the top of the keg a bit for a second if you're getting nervous.
