Hi there, can anyone recommend a lager kit that I could put on now that will be ready for Chrimstmas? I have two son in laws coming over and both prefer lager! I quite like lagers that have lots of taste and a good strength as really i prefer real ale..
Thx

Getting rather close for Christmas now......

Coopers do a decent lager kit although I think there's more taste in their Mexican Cerveza.

Best I can offer as I'm not really a fan of kit lagers.

Taste and strength you say?

How about a Better Brew Czech Pilsener brewed with Extra Light Spraymalt rather than sugar?

You could beef it up a bit with 1.5kg of malt The extra half kilo will get you around 0.8% on top of the 5.2% should get you around 6%.

It should just about be drinkable at Christmas if you get it on tomorrow, 14 days in FV, 14 days bottled and warm and a week in the cold takes you to Christmas Day...

..it'll be properly ready for Burn's Night though...

I like the Youngs ubrew brew buddy lager. Brewed short to 20L. If you get it on now you might just make Crimbo!

Thx for the advice, the guy on the market has a Mexican Cerveza kit for fourteen quid so i might try that tomorrow, anything else is going to take time to get.
Kind regards
Christian

I did the Coopers Mexican Cerveza, very nice. But I would recommend brewing slightly short (TBH I do this with all my kit beers now, I personally prefer the extra flavour gained by knocking off a couple of litres of water).
