Do you think chocolate malt tastes of chocolate? I see that Roger Protz is perpetuating his view that it does again in today’s ‘What’s Brewing’. As far as I am aware it so-called because it is kilned to a chocolate colour, the same as brown, amber and black malts, and it has nothing at all to do with its taste.
 
Nope. It's cognitive bias unless you add vanilla and leave residual sweetness.
