Hi just wondering if anyone remembers the kirsberry wine kits you used to get and if you can still get them.

I made a fabulous sweet cherry "Port", with a standard tin of Spanish grape juice and a large bottle of morello cherries many years ago.

Wilko's do a cherry wine kit I got one in the sale.
The ingredients interestingly have quite a high proportion of elderberry concentrate.
It will be interesting how it turns out.:)

Can't help with the wine kits, but I make a cherry WOW variant and it's amazing.

The recipe I use is:
1 litre red grape juice
1 litre cherry juice
800 grams sugar
1 cup of strong black tea or tannin
Pectolase
Yeast
Yeast nutrient
Top up with water to 4.5 litres.

Makes a really nice cherry wine and it only costs about 65p a bottle! I've currently got 12 bottles of it on the go.

Yes, I remember those kits, I think Contessa made them back in the late 80’s, early 90’s.
Would love to be able to buy them again.
