Just been to my local Aldi and they have the red and white grape juice on offer for 57p a litre.
There are no preservatives mentioned and it is pure juice. It states to drink it within 2 days of opening so I do not think there are any preservatives in it.

I have bought 8 litres of the white grape juice and added a kilo of sugar.
When I got home I noticed they only charged me for 6 litres!!!
This will only work out at about 40p per bottle including the sugar, yeast etc.
The gravity was about 1090. Added some pectolase, yeast and nutrient.
I haven't added any acid. Does anyone think it will need any?

Not sure if this offer is on nationally or just locally.
Thought I would mention it though just in case your local store has it on offer.

I will let you know how it gets on!!!!http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/posting.php?mode=post&f=39#

I made a gallon batch with the red grape juice :D and just waiting now for it to clear had a quick taste when adding finings and it tastes better than I thought all I added to mine was yeast and nutrient so you should be ok :thumb: one of the wine guru's will put you right

I noticed the cheap juice when in Aldi on sat night.

Just started fermenting some Don Simon apple juice on the 22nd Jan, if this is alright I might start trying to make other fruit ciders and wines!
