Hi All

I've found a hobgoblin recipe that I want to try, but it involves 3.6KG of malt.

I'd rather not buy that much, a 3kg bag would be simpler.... can I just alter all the other ingredients by 83%? (300g is 83% of 360g)

Volume, hops, everything!? Would that work or is there more to it than that?

Cheers

yeah you got it , just take off same amount in % it won't affect it really . mash temps/times , yeast and temp control while fermenting is a big must though.

Thanks, I thought times would all stay the same yeah?

Do you mean I should also reduce the yeast used by 83%?

Does it make a huge difference having temp control? My FV says 22 at the moment and it's just sitting in my office... would modding a fridge to keep at 20 make such a big quality difference?

Cheers, next project then.... mutilate a fridge.

Out of going AG or having temperature control, which is higher priority? I'm hoping you'll say AG ;)
well this time of year if you have central heating , i would go AG first :thumb:
