I've got about 200g of challenger hops, I often use them for bittering my Exmoor gold clone, but I need to use them up. Has anyone made smash with them? What was it like?

Sometimes some variety of English hops get pigeon holed as Bittering hops when they have a good flavour of their own.
Challenger, Admiral, Target, Northdown etc.
I have just done a Admiral only English Ale

I use challenger in my Saison. It works out nicely, complimenting the spicy flavours from the yeast

Are you sure, CC? I understood Summer Lightning to be an MO and EKG SMaSH. But I'll bet a Challenger SMaSH is well worth making.
I make Summer Lightning with MO, a bit of Torrefied wheat, bitter with Challenger and use EKG @15m and whirlpool 85C.

PS I follow Graham Wheelers recipe and add some Torrefied wheat.

I preferred Crop Circle to Summer lightning.. but that was in the pre-GF days before they tinkered with Crop Circle to make it their GF beer (and thus more expensive)
