Challanger and Liberty hops: a good combination?

Hello I wonder if I could ask you guys some advice on hops.
My approach to grains is pretty much constant. Use 3 kg of amber liquid malt extract from Coppers as pale malt with 500g crystal grains to form a partial.
Only thing that varies is my hops. I tend to use a Graham Wheeler recipe simplified a bit ( last time I omitted the dextrous sugar which turned about to be a big mistake but that’s another story).
Last time I used about 50g of Liberty hops to create Adnams Explorer.
This time I have about 100g of Challenger hops to use plus about 50g of Liberty hops left from last time.
Now if I use about say 45g of Challenger hops the closest Graham Wheeler recipe I approximate to is Brakespears.
Brakespears is an ale with a tarty, hoppy kick to it. Tastes a bit like marmalade. Or Admiral Ale from St Austell’s brewery Cornwall which is also available across the UK in Marks & Spencer in their bottle-conditioned range, also available by mail order.

Only problem is how to blend Challenger plus Liberty hops. I’d like the taste of Challenger but without the spicy, tarty kick plus the smooth taste of Liberty. I was thinking of say 30g of Challenger plus 30g of Liberty…………anyone think this combination in these proportions is a good idea?
 
Never tried that combination but always found challenger to be a versatile hop that seems to go well with most other hops I've paired it with.
 
I've just used challenger 50g, fuggle 40g, and 40g east Kent, works tastes ok lasting hop taste
