Hi all.
If you have ever tasted Tetley's cask and i mean a good pint of Tetley's cask then you will know it has a distinct flavour that makes it stand out from many a bitter. Or maybe it's just my pallet. Anyway is there any kit form that is the nearest one can get to Tetley's bitter. Thoughts?

Regards.

Is that the one that uses a cream flow system? If so its difficult to emulate...

I've got a clone recipe in front of me. It uses added wheat malt, dark brown sugar and bramling cross aroma hops, otherwise its pretty basic. You could use heading powder, I've tried it before and it really does work wonders!

Hi Rob.

No the cream flow is keg beer Tetley cask is cask ale.
If you can get a good pint of Tetleys i reckon it's the best cask ale going :drink:
The best pint of it here in Hull has to be the Minerva on the river front near the old ferry pier and i swore there was not another pub in England better then i visited Buxton and there was a pub there i think it was called The London road and it matched the Minervas pint.
I've tried some pubs selling Tetley cask and it's quite ordinary.
Thanks for the interest thou :thumb:
