Hi All,
Just a quick question, i've recently done a Suundew kit which i kegged with 90gms of normal sugar but i also did 6x500ml bottles, which were done with about 1/2 a tea spoon of the same white sugar.
Whilst it tastes pretty good at 3weeks (i know it needs longer) the bottles have a good fizz to them and small bubbles suspended in the beer and a bit more carbonation bite whereas the keg has an excellent head but very little in the way of bubbles and seems a bit flat. I appreciate that SUndew isn't necessarily supposed to be a fizz beer.
Both were done the same way, 7 days in the warm and then 3 weeks in the cool so far in the same location.
Is it just the natural state of things or is the keg beer not absorbing the CO2?
Would it be advisable to add a CO2 bulb and let it sit on the concrete floor for the rest of it's conditioning or are the bulbs just to get the rest of the beer out when the natural pressure has fallen?
Cheers
Chris
