Had a question about when it comes to bottling- the coopers carb drops I have say on the back that I need to use one drop per 375ml and two drops per 750ml. however, the coopers startup kits come with 500ml bottles now. Should I stick with one drop per 500ml bottle or should I be cutting them in halve and putting in 1.5 drops per 500ml?

thanks

could you not work out how much beer you have add the right amount of drops in the fv then bottle ? sounds like a ball ache though I would add 2 per bottle

Aye, one drop has always worked for me in the 500ml bottles, carbonates just fine.

Depends how fizzy you want your brew also, so up to you!

If lager, 2 may be more suitable, if not, thne 1 may be fine, but it's up to you.

i was wondering the same thing regarding bottle size, i opted for 2.

i also have plenty of used glass bottles i plan on using, the are 275ml so will just stick 1 in those, should be ok.

Hi Mate

I have the same kit as you (I think)...1 drop per bottle is absolutely fine...even with lager.

Enjoy.

Same,

I have used 1per 500ml bottle andit has proven good.

As a tip, what you could do is do some with 2 in and some with 1 in.
You could also do some with 1 and some sugar from the bag, make sureu mark them upin some way and see what you prefer for future brews.

One thing I will add is to make sure you bottle condition for a good 10 days as a minimum but the longer the better.
The longer in the bottle, the better the carbonation also.
