bh 190 ain't bad, but if your not happy get some fake payslips from online and take them into Halfords to get a trade card...

er....isn't that illegal ?...

Just had my old Rover 75 MOT'd, cost me 96 squids including the certificate :D

Sadly for the garage, it cost them close to £2k due to a mechanic's cock up 18 months ago when they replaced some suspension parts, result being a new subframe and suspension arm fitted to the old girl, for free, no quibble, and an apology from the garage for going over the 2 days I'd told them they could have the car for :D

If anyone wants a trustworthy garage in Newport, South Wales, gimme a PM :D

Needs must nowadays, I got one using my qualifications, but others may not be as fortunate.

I think maybe the fake payslips could be, this could be viewed as forgery / misrepresentation.

From what I've heard getting a trade account with Halfords isn't diffficult anyway, print yourself some headed notepaper, something along the lines of "My Garage" and fill in the form to get some discount, you don't have to be VAT registered or owt like that.

Probably only worth it if you do a lot of your own spannering on a weekend, and some for you mates as well as I'm told it's only around 10% discount, you can do better than that from a decent independant motor factor for most service parts, Halfords only get my money for bits I need when the MF is shut, that or their very good value professional tools :)
