Can I use 2L fizzy pop bottles for ginger beer and cider. Are they strong enough to take the pressure. They should be as there is a lot of pressure in fizzy pop.

Would love to make ginger beer, but dont want to use up my bottles. cider is always good to have, especially on the the hot summer day that we get up here in Glasgow.

Gary.

Absolutely, they are designed to take high pressure.

My only issue is that an open bottle will have to be finished. 2l is a lot of ginger beer in one sitting.

I was thinking of doing the same so have started keeping a few 2L bottles back. Anyone used one of those pumps that aims to keep fizzy drinks fizzy once open?

When my eldest daughter was tiny, she was getting fed up with waiting for summer so as to have the paddling pool out, and once asked "Is summer only one day?".
