Just a quick one guys,

perehaps a stupid question but could I age my beer in a keg and when I want to take some beers to a mate's house would I be able to bottle it then from the keg?

any experience with this?

how long would it last for in the bottles once taken from keg?

thanks in advance :drink:

excellent!, exactly what I plan to do... once some beer is ready. (not that I want to wish my life away)

would I need to be as Strict with sterelization of bottles if I was doing this?

Nope not at all, having very clean bottles will help keep the beer in good condition though, as for sterilising, no need.
I bought a box of 1l brown flip tops, and I use these for taking beers out / sharing, and they are original enough that I get them back!

Hope you have better luck than I......I bottled from the keg, went upstairs, opened the bottle and found the ale totally devoid of life. Happened every time I tried it - even after injecting CO2.

I use 10 pint tap a drafts as well as pressure barrels. I fill them straight from the barrel priming them with about 5 teaspoons of sugar each ,except for the one which I'm going to carbonate straight away . They always serve a lovely pint.
