     I used to really like what I thought CAMRA stood for, so I was a little surprised to find out how stuck in their ways they were - surely the products of AG brewing are closer to Real Ale than anything sold commercially???? Oh well, as far as I'm concerned, it's their loss to not have homebrewers on their side :nono:

i dont know of any micros that arent all grain, ive always found camra to be very helpful on the whole. i do agree with the fact that some keg is great though.....

lovibonds anyone? :drink:

the majority of mass produced stuff is crap imo

IMO the "only" good thing to come from camra is the past 10 years has been the HB books by Graham Wheeler. I used to be a member but they were going downhill like a runaway train

It was getting like the rsgb, very cleaky with the "old guard" in charge and blinkered. Their original plan was good get rid of "red barrel" and get real ale back, but nowadays most pubs have real ale on tap (the ones I visit anyway :D ), and with JDW providing a good outlet for real ales (at a decent price).
But it is really the big brewers who steer the market, funding football etc, and selling fizzy alcoholic water (lager) at inflated prices to the masses who happily drink this swill thinking it tastes like real lager  While they can easily drop a couple of million in advertising the latest fizzy (chemical filled ) water to sell at £5/pint, when smaller breweries are producing good ale for those who like some flavour in their drinks. :thumb:

One of the other reasons I rarely visit a pub these days (apart from lack of money  ) overprices and over gassed beer, give me a "normal" hb over a pint of fizzy lager any day (well as long as the ambient temp is below 35C :D )
