When people publicly correct others -

"There is a multiplication sign dimwit its 25" aheadbutt :laugh8:

I get it to 60 but a lot of the comments say its 15 :confused.:

Isn't it 15? There is only one fries at the bottom.
Coke is 10
Burger is 5
Fries is 1
So the bottom equation is 5 + 1x10 = 15.
Am I missing something?

Yeah it's 25 I'm sure

ETA I also missed that it was 4 packs of fries on the third line 🤣

15 it is then

I got my lad to have a look and he informed me its due to the Bodmas rule and 15 is correct I dont remember them mentioning this when i was at school mind you there days i struggle to remember what i had for dinner yesterday. asad1

What is the Bodmas rule?

According to BODMAS rule, the brackets have to be solved first followed by powers or roots (i.e. of), then Division, Multiplication, Addition, and at the end Subtraction.

When I was at school you were taught to add then multiply
so 5+1 =6 x by 10 = 60

The thing is, it's ambiguous whether it's

(Burger + 1Fries) x Coke
...or...
Burger + (1Fries x Coke)

Most calculators would by default calculate the latter, giving 5 + (1*10) = 15

Top line - 30 divided by 3 = 10. Coke 10
Second line - 20 minus 10 = 10. 10 divided by 2 = 5. Burgers 5
Third line - 9 minus 5 = 4. 4 divided by 4 =1. Fries 1
Bottom line 5+(1 X 10) = 15.

i fink.
