Hi, currently doing my first ever brew(s) and have Bulldog Double IPA and Bulldog Red Cat fermenting for 8 days now.
The Double IPA has had a reading of 1.010 (OG was 1.060) for two days now so I'm thinking of adding the hops.
Instructions say to add boiling water to bag of hops in cup, steep 10 minutes and to STIR into the FV - contrary to other threads/instructions about not stirring.
Does it matter? I'm thinking of stirring gently so not to disturb the yeast "cake" and not introduce much oxygen.
I'm also hoping the FG is a lower, could oxygen help or hinder the brew at this stage (I know when kegging you don't want to oxygenate the brew)?
