Hi guys,

Me and my old man are looking to build a mash tunn out of a cooler box.

I have purchased one of these 24l cooler boxes:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Large-24L...314?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item540599863a

And I also have on of these lever ball valve 15mm hanging around:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0051TQTAU/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

We have the correct size cutters to cut the hole into the mash tun to fit the tap.

Could somebody recommended me a filter to go with these please? And any other connections I would need? Pretty sure we will need some sort of nipple to add to the tap as the thread is very short.

My dad is pretty good with my hands, but im terrible. So im gonna get the right equipment, and he can fit it :-)

Thanks,

Buzz

I built a copper manifold for about a tenner when you consider all the parts. Some 15mm copper tubing, elbows and connectors and a cutter. Works like a dream.

Some silicone tubing can help to fit certain parts of it together if you get a bit stuck (I did) so ask your LHBS for some that won't melt at mash temperature.

15mm copper piping and tubing to go on the back of the tap with a jubilee clip. The video should give some ideas..

MM i am getting an error message and your video doesn't play
