My 40l buffalo boiler kept switching on and off throughout the boil today. Not sure what difference it will make to the Big Kenny it was meant to be boiling. I'm hoping it's because there is some scale build up in the centre of the base. I think i read somewhere that this can be dealt with by soaking in a citric acid solution. :cheers:
 
Yes a good citric acid soak on the elements will work wonders.

Good choice on the Big Kenny, even if I do say so myself :grin:
 
My buffalo would trip off, especially with darker higher strength brews. So I fitted a bypass switch to the thermostat. Works fine now.
