Hi, by mistake I’ve ordered a bucket with a bored hole at the bottom.. I got a tap but need to purchase a backnut I guess I’ll need another seal, my question is.. what cat I use this bucket for?

What sort if bucket is it? What size/capacity is it? Is the hole in the base?? What diameter is the hole?

Providing it's big enough I'd measure the hole, and get a tap and bottling wand set up to make your bottling day easy...that's if you use bottles that is!
Or you could use it for forcing rhubarb...

Sorry it’s a 25ltr fermenter with a 1” hole at the bottom, if I used for the bottling would I still have to put the sugar in the bottles or just add to the bucket with the wort? Cheers

Add it to the wort...usually I boil mine in a bit of water as it helps it mix in better..and give it a gentle stir with a sterilised paddle.

Sounds like a prime candidate for a bottling bucket as Clint has mentioned. If you're happy adding sugar to bottles you can use it as your primary and bottle straight from it. I lean toward batch priming and using a bottling bucket currently, though I am still finding my feet.

Does the tap not come with a back nut then? all the taps I've bought have come with one +2 on buying a little bottler bottling wand Here

No the tap is a spare from my keg as I brought a better one,I’ll have a look cheers

Keg taps are usually tapered so have no back nut and will not work on a bucket. Buy a bucket tap and wand from eBay or Amazon only about £6

All this talk of bottling buckets. If the bucket's got a lid, then fit a tap and use it as a fermenter.
