Hello!

Impulse buy at the brew shop today! Brupaks Special Lager! Threw away the yeast and used Safale Lager S-23. Done as is. Was quite surprised to see a little hop tea bag in there for me to dunk!

Has anyone else tried this kit. I'm doing it as hopefully something predicable for my Carling loving 'friends' at my next BBQ. Their untrained pallets are not getting their hands on my homebrew or continental bottle cellar!

The colour looks lovely and golden straw.. sort of lager like!

I'll follow the instructions but keg and force carbonate. Expecting something around 3.8-4.0% from my workings (as I am not priming bottles etc).

Anyone else tried it?

Not tried it but hop tea bag and proper yeast sounds like a good place to start.

I am told this kit comes with lager yeast, so may nto have been a need to bin the kti yeast.

If I get a kti with lager yeast, i buy a new pack of lager yeast but keep the kit one until i get another kit, then addthem both in the 2nd one.

It came with the brewferm lager yeast but I can't keep the temps recommended 8-12, safale is abit more forgiving for me as my best temp is 16-17. I keep all my kit yeast just incase and for unpredicted brew experiments!
