All,
Quick question.
I want to take some beer away with me this weekend that I’ve recently brewed. Its in a barrel and I’m gonna decant some into one of those brown ‘Carry out’ jugs with a pressure release cap on the top.

How long will the beer keep fresh in one of these?...I’m thinking it will be OK for a day or two..is this correct?
I know bottling is the best way forward but this is my first batch so next time I’m gonna bottle some.

2-3 days depending on how often your in it drinking from it. A tip for decanting from keg to vessel is to get the keg as cold as possible with what you have got. either 0c in a fridge or do it early morning after keg been out all night. That way more Co2 will be absorbed into the beer and get transfered over to the carry out, helping with carbonation and keeping it fresher :thumb:

Superb...thanks for that. Its in the garage and Its gonna be cold in the morning
