Hi all.

I've bottled my John Bull IPA (Although it doesn't really smell or taste at this early stage like an IPA but it looks like it will be nice all the same). It seems a shame to not be using the fermentation bin so I thought I'd try a Brown Ale. Certain older family members used to be partial to Manns Brown and I'd like to make something akin to this for their (and my own) benefit.

Anyone have any suggestions of a kit I could try?

Cheers.

Hi. Try Milestone Olde Homewrecker, a 2 can kit so no other sugars need to be added to it. It tastes a bit like Newcastle Brown and has a sweetish nutty flavour to it, gorgeous kit. :drink:

I second that Milestone Olde Home Wrecker is a good kit :thumb: Just done a Milestone Lions Pride kit recently with an extra 500grm of light spray malt (worked out about 5.6%), just sampled some after 2 weeks in the bottle n it tastes great :drink:

My fav is Black Rock nut brown ale made with dark spray malt and a fuggles hop tea :drunk:
