Ceejay
Landlord.
I actually drank this last weekend, but it was so good I felt the need to post a review.

Now, I don't know exactly how many English made commercial Hefeweisens there are, but this is the only one I've ever seen. Bristol beer Co make some fantastic beers, and this is exceptional. They clearly understand their beers, and brew some more unusual styles. Their Stout is yummy and they do a great 6.5% AIPA style beer called Southville Hop
This Hefe pours with a really thick, creamy head and is actually carbonated slightly more than other examples I've had. The colour is golden, slightly darker than Erdinger. And the taste is just magical. You get strong banana and cloves but you also get a real tang as well, almost bordering on citrus which kind of takes the edge off the cloves and banana and just makes this beer so, so tasty and moreish. It's a super-clean and refreshing beer too and could give the "usual" Hefes a real run for their money in a taste test.
