Brewing in a Hurricane!

Brew day Friday, looks like strong winds and heavy rain.
The outside element is the boil due to having to use bbq gas and a 50l st/St pot.
Anyone got any suggestions..............

If only that was doable, I have a free day with no one around.....

Thought there would be a reason why it would have to be Friday. I guess there is nowhere that is quite sheltered where you could put up a tarpaulin or plastic sheet? Only other suggestion is to do no boil or be ready to do a shorter boil if there is a break in the weather although if it is going to be like yesterday here, it was horrible all day.

Might put up a wind break to stop the burner blowing out

good for a hop whirlpool?

If you have a lid, put it on. Most malts, like Maris Otter, won't give any problems taste wise.

Wasn't as hurricanny as predicted, made APA Zombie Dust, no problems although my temp monitor seems to be broken but I have 2 so put West coast yeast in at 24 C and will dry hop with citra next week

Oh have a hop spider so kept the issues of bunging up to a minimum
