I have just picked up a Brewferm Pils kit and thinking about it I'm going to go for the 20l volume. As I have not done a brewferm kit before I would like to ask some advice.

Should I replace the 1Kg of Dextrose with 1Kg of extra light spray dried malt extract?
Is it worth using a genuine lager yeast and fermenting at 12°C?
How long would the fermentation be expected to take if I do use lager yeast?
I have read that these kits take longer to condition than most so if I brew next week would the lager be "ready" ie at it's best or at least closet to that by mid August?

Thanks for your help.

depends what ur after... the fact ur hitting the 20l style up suggest u just want a standard lager but better, so follow the kit and u get a better stella clone imho

if u want something proper then yeah u may want to go that route but u might have been better getting an extract kit, its also a lot more faff with the lager yeast

Stella? ideal I'm brewing this batch to take on holiday and one of the people going is a big Stella drinker.

Well maybe that gives the wrong impression, if he walks past a crate of the stuff and it magically drains out of the bottles :wha:
