Just for a laugh as swimbo is making wine and I've started down the dark road of beers weve decided to come up with a brewery name just for a bit of a laugh and for a project to design and create some labels when we have a bit of spare time. Anyway, been racking my brain for weeks and came up with a corker today!

Nae Stray Keg Breweries!

I was pretty chuffed with this one, primarily as it is a anagram for the area that I live (great sankey) and the mother is scottish (two birds with the one stone and all that)

anyone else came up with some great brewery names that they would use?

Nice one, I quickly decided on Big House Brewery.

This is because my house is probably the smallest house you can buy on the market

I'm still racking my brains for a fun name for mine. Have a few ideas, but nothing really hits the spot, so to speak!

I live in Italy, so not sure whether to go down the route of an English name or Italian name. :?: Producing English ales, it must be an English name I suppose?

My friend has a 'real' brewery here called Almond 22. He first set up in an old almond factory that used to produce the almonds for the sugared almonds over here called confetti, that are still produced locally. Interesting that he took on an English name rather than an Italian one and he's not English or Italian.

As I clicked submit ... the penny dropped Para!

I saw a programme on the telly the other day which spoke about Hitler's movement during the 1930's that gave free holidays and cruises to party members. The movement was called 'Strength Through Joy' (Kraft durch Freude or KdF). I did think that Strength Through Joy Brewery would be a good name, but then I thought that it might upset a few people as it's not very pc. However, I'm thinking of calling my brewery "The Strength thru Beer Brewery".

Looking at some of the beer names alone that i seen down south last year made me realise that beer drinkers dont seem to care about political correctness!

A bit like the band Joy Division. Google their name to find out the origins, trust me though, it's really not very nice at all.

not really got a name for mine, I made up a daft label for my secret santa beer and said it was from the 'Plastic Whistle' brewery, one of Thistle's many nicknames due to our 'diddy club' image in Scotland.
