As an absolute beginner who intends to only make kits, albeit 'fiddling' with them a little at times to improve them is the Brewer's Friend of any use to me?

I've looked, and as far as I can tell it seems to be more aimed at advanced peeps brewing from scratch.

It's good for fiddling if your adding stuff like extra DME, sugars, honey, molasses etc. Most kit's wont give the IBU's but the info is out there on the internet for coopers kits so if you adding some bittering to a coopers kit it's good for that too.

If you start going down the partial mash + kit route its good for that as well

first sign of interest towards at least a partial extract. where you have the kit and want to improve it.
try the steeped grains route first. Theyl be a few YouTube vids on this. there's a few by dino from NewZealand.
Im too pissed to help fully atm I'm afraid. my misses is only giving me an hour to 'enjoy myself' before dinner.

and no. this doesn't involve a pot noodle and a ****

I settled on this bit of brewing help despite looking at numerous others. Havent upgraded yet but i think I will. Its been really helpful on brew days!
