Sounds like they are trying to pressure the owners into a deal. Disappointed in this, it’s the “big business”, “hate the little guy” mentality that BD were supposed to be so against!

That's pretty poor. It may be the internal workings of Brewdog aren't talking to each other and it's simply an unprofessional mistake, rather than them trying to strong arm the bar, but either way it's poor. I can certainly understand peoples scepticism when you consider some of their other recent behaviours which go against their supposed 'punk' ethos. It's also telling that the current owners of the Perth location have made no comment.

From what I've heard, Rascals owner accepted their offer but didn't know it was BrewDog. I'm delighted that St Andrews and Perth will have their bars.

They may be bigger boys now but they still do a great deal of good for independent brewers.

They should do well in St.Andrews, with all the students & visitors etc. Years ago when I used to holiday there was only the Central Bar in North street worth visiting, went back 3 years ago and the place is bursting with bars and restaurants now.
