Im thinking of trying to brew this stout and its the first one im trying from a recipie,
The Dark crystal, chocolate and barley I assume have to be steeped and the extra pale mashed? What i was thinking is can I steep them and just use a extract instead of mash just to get the hang of it first?
Thanks and sorry if this is a bit of a newbie question

Or just mash and steep in the same bag (adjusting times for each accordingly)
 
Thanks, is all grain only steeped for 30mins, ill do the malt for the full 90 as stated still,
