Brewday tomorrow! But what to brew?

Got a free day tomorrow, going to bottle a batch, keg another and get a brew on. But what to brew? Ive got 10 different hops and 10 different grains all full bags so i can brew pretty much anything. Anybody got any suggestions? If anybody comes up with something that catches my fancy then ill be happy to send you a bottle or two of the finished stuff. Cheers guys
 
I was thinking either an osh clone or black sheep ale clone but i wanted to see if anybody could come up with anything that peaked my interest, im curious to try something outside my comfort zone
 
More or less at the moment yes, ive done one of my own recipies, an english bitter that was lovely but not bitter enough. Im still learning about different styles of beer and how to use different grains and hops.
 
I've just about finished off my Nutty Rauch Brown, that turned out exceptionally nice..... ( recipe on forum somewhere )

but brewing is all about making what you enjoy drinking.
 
Im going to just have a play with brewmate and see if i can make something interesting
 
Heres what ive come up with, what do you guys think? Too much going on maybe ive basically just put in what sounded good to me.

Marris otter 5kg
Biscuit malt 450g
Crystal 120 250g
Torrified wheat 250g
Roasted barley 100g

Styrian goldings 35g (60mins)
Northern brewer 20g(60mins)
Stryrian goldings 25g (15mins)
Cascade 15g (5mins)

Going to mash for about 120mins (just going to dough in and then go to the gym) at 66c and do a 60min boil then transfer to a no chill cube. I will be using safale 04
 
If it was me i would put the
N Brewer 20g 60min
Cascade 15g 30min
S Golding 25g 15min
S Golding 35g at flame out
This way i would get a nice Golding aroma which would be my choice but maybe not yours :cheers: ken.
 
Is styrian goldings not very good as a bittering hop then? I wanted ekg but they were out. I want it fairly bitter, also what is the difference between a bitter and esb?
 
yeah styrian are fine for bittering,as i said it is what i would do not as you have to do,if you want it more bitter move your hop schedule forward eg90 min 60 min 30 min 15 min it will be pretty bitter. :cheers:
 
Went with that recipe just change the northern brewer to first wort hops, boil is on now. Biscuit malt smelt great
 
Hope it turns into a decent brew for you M, it should be good :drink: it, I love the smell of the mash early morning always makes me hungry followed by nice strong hops mmm lovely :cheers: :cheers: ken.
