Depends on the process followed and first attempts are usually experimental rather than exemplary.
However, a typical home brew set up will give you roughly 5% pro rata per (1kg and 5L) brew.
So, a first effort may get you 4% or so, maybe a bit more if you are lucky.
But really, the first efforts are exploratory rather than anything else.

Ok thanks slid just looking for a pot big enough to brew a 10L batch

01/09/2020 - brew 63 - No-gaarden 2 - Belgian wit -
100g tettnanger 10 min boil - 30 mins flameout
2.5 kg wheat malt extract
750g gs
2 litres orange juice asda from concentrate
mj belgian m21 wit yeast.
21.6 litres pitched at 23c
og 1.059 - fg 1012
20/09/2020 - 6.17%

the GS is boiled with the hops in 6 litres of water.

The rest is stirred in afterwards in the FV and topped to around 21.5 litres before pitching the yeast.

I am constantly asked to make this and it was brewed for my son's wedding as well.
I like it but it's a bit too low abv for me wink...

it's very simple to knock a batch of it up.

Hi,

A slightly different approach, and it might not be what you are after so just ignore me if so. However a simple and cheap way of brewing is a peco boiler, currently £52:

I started off with one of these; it’s about the same price as a big stockpot. All you need to add is a brew bag which they also sell for £14.

Really easy to use and I made some really good beers this way. I found it a really good way to start AG and it allowed me to learn all about the different parts of the process without being overly complicated. It’s just an oversized kitchen kettle and you basically make a big cup of tea!

Or they do a full kit with the boiler, bag, wort chiller and a grain kit for £135:

Is a 12l pot big enought for a 10l brew?
I struggle with my asda 22/24l pot for a 10l batch...
Yes, you do a mash in the pot (in the oven at 50C works well). Then use an FV and a grain bag to separate grain and wort and then you add more water to the grain, whilst the first runnings sit in the FV, and use the pot plus water to do a dunk sparge, until you have enough wort for the boil. Here are some more notes:

Hi All, finally got a 25kg bag of maris otter, question once the beer is ready to bottle do i carbonate as normal.
Yes, add priming sugar to bottles or CO2 to Kegs as per usual.

Hi All,

I finally made a 10l batch with maris otter, i did not have scales to weigh the yeast so i guessed it, it stopped fermenting after 36 hours and i took reading's and it has come in at 2.6%. Question do i strain the grain or let it naturally drain into bucket.
