Landlord.
A week last sunday i did my first brew of the year the only yeast i had was a youngs GP yeast so i thought ive never used it before i'd rehydrate it which i did and it was merrily bubbling away anyway i pitched it onto my brew at just under 30degrees which i normally do put it in the brew cupboard and it was fermenying nicely for about 4 days .
Now my problem is it stopped bubbling i left it for a couple of days and then checked the gravity it was 1020 ??? my SG was 1050 on the brix scale so i thought perhaps it had stopped and then gave it a good old shake to try and wake those pesky yeasties up well the next day it was happily bubbling away again so i thought ive cracked it well 3 day later no bubbles so ive checked the gravity still 1020 ??? so i thought perhaps my hydrometer is incorrect so i tried another one still 1020 :wha: can anyone tell me if theres another way of working out the gravity of the beer
