Brew schedule or not?

I do try and plan stuff when I put an order in from the likes of geterbrewed. Normally I buy enough for the next 5 brews. My plans always change, I have a while bad habit of not sticking to a recipe. I get a brainwave half way through and decide to change the recipe.
This is normally after I have had a few. Tonight was meant to be a Belgian single but the yeast is sleeping. So it's looking like a Vienna IPA with Talus and citra

Random! I've got ingredients for a number of kits but I always end up changing the recipe and when I do them depending on the way the wind is blowing.

I have ben trying to plan some repeat brews of my more successful back catalogue but also with one eye on using up the huge inventory I've got. Started running through my schedule this morning (and then adding things to it) realised I was missing a few bits so rather than subbing in alternatives spent £88 at malt miller before 7am.

Anyway schedule is currently meant to be:

German Pilsner (along the lines of @Hazelwood Brewery recipe - have even bought the glucose)
Camden Pale Clone
Strong Belgian Golden Ale
GH Raspberry Wheat
A light lager with maize
The forum famous @foxbat Mainline Bitter
Old Tom Clone

have a load of frozen fruit in it as I have a few kg in the freezer off the allotment that needs using..
Shame your not local. I would definitely buy some of that fruit from you. I have just finished up the last of my Blackberry stock on a final batch of Jam. I can’t buy shop bought any more. Home made jam turns you into a jam snob 🤣

My schedule is primarily organised into seasons. Refreshing Pale ales and IPAs for the spring and summer. Rich Porters and strong Bitters for the autumn and winter. I have a few repeat recipes but I like to do a few 5litre experiments too.

I usually have a plan 3 or 4 ahead to make the most of whichever yeast I've been culturing. Brews in the pipeline are...

Munich Helles
Munich Dunkel
German Pilsner
Phoney Peroni
Czech Pilsner
Vienna Lager
Looks like you'll be lagering yourself nicely through the summer!

Whenever I put in an order for a 25Kg bag of base malt I also plan what brews I'll be doing with it and buy everything I'll need at the same time.
The latest batch is:

25Kg Hook Head Pilsner malt

Brews already done:
1. Czech Pilsner
2. Pseudo Czech Pilsner
3. Green Chili IPA

Brews yet to be done:
4. 1823 Amber small beer
5. Amber Cascade
6. Milk Stout
7. 1864 Lovibond XB pale ale

I plan 3 brews ahead and try an order just what I need. Doesn't always go to plan.

Current run is the Witbier currently in the fridge, version #4 of Vienna APA and an English Golden Ale for summer.

Most runs of 3 include an American Pale, something British (Porter, Bitter, Stout) and then maybe something European such as a wheat beer. Need to start planning the next set of 3.

I'll order for the next 3 or 4 brews just to cut down on postage costs or time to go & collect. A couple of those will be something I've done before & will probably be a bit experimental with one of them. I'll also aim to use up everything ordered.

I know what the next couple will be.
I've been meaning to sit down and extend the plan for a couple of months and order some malts and hops accordingly.
Then decided to treat myself to a shiney piece of kit as an Easter present; since the best place for chocolate is in a stout. Bulked up towards the minimum order for free delivery by adding an extract kit to continue my attempt to quickly build stock and variety. Finally added some malts that I know will allow me to brew a few additional styles. I now really need to sort out a plan that effectively uses what I have. Completely the wrong way around, but hey... Shiney!
Fingers x'd for delivery before the weekend, not optimistic though.

Generally my brew schedule goes something like this

1. Buy random commercial beer
2. Drink random commercial beer and think thats rather nice
3. Drink several more
4. Unknown
5. Ingredients for beer in the style I’ve found in my recycling bin show up on the door step my card has being charged decide to make the best of the situation

In all seriousness I tend to choose what I’m going to brew on a whim if I try something and like it I will try my hand at making it. I do tend to try to plan a few batches at once if only to save on delivery costs but I have often decided to brew something and ordered just what I need for that batch its not the most economical way of brewing but it’s hardly the most expensive Hobby I could take up either.

I plan 4 or 5 brews in advance and make a big order with all the stuff I need.

I usually buy 3 brews of ingredients at a time.
I’ll then brew them in no particular order before choosing the next three and ordering.

I usually have a loose plan that is subject to change, I have just started a blonde ale but the next few are
Old Hooky Clone (further development)
Blonde Ale - different to the last one
English IPA
Czech Pilsner
Oatmeal Stout (I can drink this chilled anytime of the year)
Speckled Hen Clone
Bitter

I always try to plan what I will brew when I put my order in, but it always seems to drift.
My current plan is:
Dubbel
Mandarina pilsner
Dark mild
Pale ipa
Wheat saison
Yorkshire bitter
